Wings for my little bird.

For the past two years Ivy has wanted to be a bird when she grows up, so after seeing lots of patterns on the Internet for bird wings I decided that I would make her a set for her fifth birthday.
Even though the pattern is easy there is a bit of cutting (which I hate) and it was a bit fiddly. Leaving it to three days before her birthday didn't help either!
In the end I got into a bit of a rythm and I think the end result turned out great!
Best thing is Ivy loved them....

Ivy's 5th birthday interview...

My gorgeous, outgoing, free spirited, (2nd) baby girl is now 5!
 Here is her birthday interview....

Travelling, camping, skiing and listening to Angus and Julia Stone (cause their brother and sister like Jay and me!)

What don't you like?
Getting things wrong and eating chicken (cause I don't want them to die)

Who are your friends?
Jemmy, Lisa, Bruce, Jarvis, Nicholas.

Favourite place to be?
Down the coast. (Culburra)

Where do you want to travel?
Camping near the beach, but not on the sand, near it on the grass. ( Lake Munmora conservation area?)

What do you want to do when you get older?
Be a bird, so I can travel around the world and have baby birds.

Best thing about being 5?
You get to go to big school

Check out this short Youtube video of our Mummy / Daughter day.

Hope you enjoy everything about being five!

 Lots and lots of  love

To market to market...

One of  my favorite places to visit and buy local, fresh produce is the markets in town. The sounds, smells people and colours draw me in and in a way comfort me. The growers are always friendly and ready for a chat and never look at me weird when I bring out my home made produced bags to be filled up with their yummy goodness.

Till next market day..
