Matilda the Musical

For Christmas I gave the girls tickets to see Matilda the Musical. It was showing at the Lyric in Sydney, so to guarantee that we could all make it, I bought tickets for a Saturday night in February. Soon enough the time came and after seeing mum we travelled on the train into town. Amber suggested that we have dinner at Chinatown, so we made our way down there and ended up having a great buffet dinner at one of the restaurants, before walking through he crowds at Darling Harbour to get to the theatre. We were all very excited to see the show and after buying the program we found our seats. The show didn't disappoint, it was funny, sometimes a bit dark, and the child performers were so talented and entertaining! It was sweet to see the performer who played Matilda crying in the finale,as it was her last night as that character in Sydney, and her fellow performers were hugging her. My only regret was not bringing Jay and Ivy, I think they would have loved it! Definitely need to included them in the next outing to a musical!
